Snacks for the season

Dec 22 was Winter Solstice 冬至. At this day, most chinese homes will start to prepare this dessert either home made or easily buy off-shelve. The traditional glutinous rice ball must be round (as it symbolize 团圆), of standard size, in red and white colour, in sweet soup or coated in grounded peanut powder. This year is my first attempt to make this, it was fun but the sweetness of the fillings need to be improved. 

Curry puffs - home made skin, and fillings of potatoes, dry soya bits and coriander.
