Steamed Vege 'Fish'
This vege 'fish' idea came to me after watching a video shared by my friend. The video requires to deep fried and today i used the same vege 'fish' recipe to steam it. And the result is marvellous.
The vege 'fish' here is simply beancurd wrapped with roasted seaweed. First, slice the beancurd with a thickness of about 1cm. The length of about 5 cm x 3 cm. The sizes varies. Blanched the beancurd with some salt, dish up and place on a clean kitchen towel and completely cool it. Next prepare some sheets of roasted seaweed, cut lengthwise to fit the size of the beancurd. Place one on the seaweed and start to roll up and seal it with a few dabs of water. Place on a steaming dish.
I have also prepared some Sichuan veges cut into strips. A small carrot shredded. 1 tomato into wedges and some ginger also shredded. Spread them over the vege fish and dash in with some sesame oil n pepper and some drops of light soya sauce. When water starts to boil, put the dish in and steam for about 15 minutes. Serve hot. Enjoy.
