Pan Fry Okara

Always wonder what to do with the Okara - the residue leftover from the soya bean milk. Not many recipes on it though. Yet it is the most nutritional and fibres part of it. Last time, i used to discard it after getting the milk, now i treasuring it. Today, i made the attempt for this recipe. Pan fry Okara.

First, heat up the wok. No oil added, pour in all the okara and fry till the moist dries up. 2 choices, you can either now remove from heat and let it cool off, then store it in a container or like what i did here was : add salt (adjust to your taste), 5 spice powder and mix again. Remove from heat, sprinkle in some grilled sesame seeds and roasted seaweed chips (optional) and combined. When cool off, transfer to a container. This recipe is similar to those 素肉松 which the vegetarians like it very much. With this, you can grab it for sandwich, sushi, or top on some vege dishes, or even congee.

Voilà, my new invention for July...
